Tuna Salad

Today it was raining during the evening while I'm on my way back after work, so I decided to make my own dinner. Fortunately, I went to Tesco on Tuesday to get some sundries; so I have some supply of food.

I take a look at my minibar to see what I have - well, not much really, it's just fruits. So I decided to make my own salad. It is also another way to be health conscious and eat healthy - which is part of my goal earlier of the year.

I started by defrozing the slices of lemon while I had my shower. After that I cut apples and tomatoes into small slices and put into a bowl. I sprinkled some almond nuts onto the bowl of fruits before adding in the tuna slices. Next, I pour a bit of the olive oil and squeeze some lemon juice out from the lemon slice which I defrozed earlier and finally mixed everything together and there I have my own tuna salad.

I like the mixture of sweet taste that the apple has and the sour taste that the lemon contributed to the salad. Although it is just a simple meal, I do enjoy every bite of it.

Memorable Coffee Experience at the Lighthouse Coffee

If you are a coffee lover, latte art will probably be something that you might wanted to try out. Well, yesterday I had one of the most memorable coffee experience at the Lighthouse Coffee, learning about the coffee, types of coffee makers and espresso machines and was even given the opportunity to make latte art during the three hours plus stint together with my colleagues for our quarter three teambuilding activity.

I have always like coffee - especially latte, mainly because of the latte art and also because I prefer the coffee with milk, rather than the black coffee. Don't get me wrong, I don't really mind having my coffee; it's just that I prefer to have it with milk.

Quiet Weekend In Kulim

It's been quite some time since I stay in Kulim over the weekends, I usually go back to Ipoh, either following my dad's car or drive back by myself. However, my group is having a milestone celebration at the Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Hotel on Friday night, and so I decided to meet up with a friend in the Starbucks Drive-Thru before going back to Kulim. We chat until late in the midnight before calling it a day and I was touring around in island for almost 30 minutes before I got the right turn and headed straight to the bridge and then back to Kulim.

KL Holiday - Day 2

After tiring first day holiday in KL, the following day, we went to Setapak area nearby where my brother stay to check on the local food around the area; at the same time understanding his weekly meals when he is not back to Ipoh. And so he drove us there to one of the Kopitiam that he usually had his breakfast and we had our breakfast there. The food wasn't nice, but it's not bad either and it is reasonably price. I believe it is so due to majority people around the area might be the students from nearby colleges.

KL Holiday - Day 1

Had a long weekends last week as the Hari Raya holiday coincides with the weekends, so it also means holiday. It is always a mass exodus from the city center to the northern region, so we decided to go the opposite direction. And so my family decided to go to the Kuala Lumpur for holiday, and meet up with my sister, who will be coming back from Singapore, while the rest of my extended family members will be staying put during the Raya weekends.

We start our journey on Friday morning from my house after breakfast to pick my brother's girlfriend before driving southbound to Kuala Lumpur. As expected, the traffic is as smooth as silk; so we reached there just in time for lunch with my aunt's family as well as my brother and sister who were already there the night before. We had our lunch at the food court inside the Publika mall - this is in fact my first time in Publika. The choices there is not much actually, but I find that the paper wrapped chicken from the New Shanghai Legend Restaurant is not that bad.
