fYup...you might be wondering what good is it to be looking at insurance company(shares) during this crisis. I can tell you that one of the fastest growing company will definitely be the insurance company although you may also say likewise, insurance company can be the fastest to go down.
Looking back at history, you will find that insurance company was started due to crisis. What sort of crisis? It is security that everyone long for. Although you might think that insurance company is a flop with the likes of AIG seems to be falling apart. But what about the biggest insurance company in US, AON who just had an agreement with one of the biggest football club in the world, Manchester United.
It would be silly to think of insurance company gaining the upper hand for many but even in my own country, Malaysia, companies like LPI and Great Eastern are still strong in their business.
Insurance is like a safety package to many. While there are many others who look at it as a waste of money. But this business is definitely going to have a big impact, be it for good or bad at these moment of crisis. It all depends on the psychological work of the community.
